DAILY RATES

Daily Price .........$75/Family Member/Day

Fees include breakfast, lunch and field transportation.

Fees do not include room expenses. 

 

Montana residents participate in our Family Adventure Days FREE!

PROGRAM DATES

July 1-5...............Join us for one day or the whole week. 

Typical Daily Schedule

 

7-8 am--Meet staff behind Garfield Motel for continental breakfast and prepare lunch.

8 am--Drive to the field sites.

9 am--Explore fossils and excavation in the field.

 

Noon--Lunch in the field.

1 pm--Resume field activities.

2 pm--Leave field sites for early returnees.

4 pm--Leave field sites for late returnees.

7:30 pm--Evening dinosaur activities (Optional).

You and your family (or just you) can spend a day or the week exploring the world of dinosaurs. During the day, you will prospect for fossils of both dinosaurs and other animals of the Cretaceous Period, help find and excavate actual dinosaur fossils, and participate in fun dinosaur activities. Evening activities include fun dinosaur games, making casts of dinosaur fossils, dinosaur movies and more!

 

Our family adventures are designed for adults and families with children 8 and older to experience the excitement of finding dinosaur fossils in the badlands together. Parents are expected to supervise their children while in the field and in town at all times.

 

Fees include ground transportation, continental breakfast and lunch daily, any entrance fees, field supplies, presentations, and evening activities. 

 

Thanks to funding from the Bureau of Land Management we are able to continue offering our Paleo X Family Adventure Days free for all Montana residents.

 

Fees DO NOT include rooming expenses. If you are staying overnight in Jordan we recommend the Garfield Motel for room accommodations.

 

All participants should plan to meet staff at the Garfield Motel in Jordan Montana between 7 and 8 am on the day of their program.

Things to Bring

To better experience our program, we recommend that all participants bring:

 

  • Trail hiking boots or shoes with good traction soles and ankle supports.

  • Hiking or cushion socks.

  • Lightweight pants, shorts and shirts.

  • Hat with a bill, preferably a bill that provides shade in front and back.

  • One 28 ounce water bottle for each participant.

  • A backpack or other light pack.

  • Sunscreen and insect repellent.

  • Any necessary medications.

  • Phone or camera.

If you are joining us for more than one day please bring:

  • Personal Items

  • Sleepwear

  • Tennis shoes or sandals

  • Toiletries
